A message from David Coleman, current High Sheriff of Derbyshire and Foundation Derbyshire Trustee.

“My major High Sheriff’s charity fundraising effort for 2014 is about to begin!

I’m walking around the whole county boundary of Derbyshire, approximately 220 miles, to raise funds for Peak District Mountain Rescue in their 50th Anniversary Year, and for the High Sheriff’s Fund, which provides grant support to Derbyshire projects which engage young people and help divert them from crime and anti-social behaviour. My walk starts on Friday 1st August and will be done over 6 weeks in 16 day-long stages, ending back where I started on Sunday, September 7th.

You can help in four ways:

Please go to my website. You will find all the information about the walk, including the full daily schedule, start and finish locations, links to the online giving site, and all the contact information you need. More detailed route information is currently being compiled to help you choose when and where to join me.”
